Hunter and Paul play as a duo, they offer the classic three piece line-up, and for larger events they may bring in extra musicians on steel guitar, fiddle, or keys, as well as female vocalists. Thunderado drummers are some of the best drummers on the planet, typically Isaias Gil, Darion Waddler or Billy Walters. Past notable drummers include Kenny Aronoff, Eric C. Hughes, Conrad Choucroun, and others. |
Hunter Perrin lived in New York and
Hollywood for about 20 years before returning to his hometown of Houston and has played with
greats such as John Fogerty (touring in his band for five years) Jerry Lee Lewis, Billy Gibbons
and more. |
Paul Beebe
has been a professional musician and producer in Houston since 2000 having played thousands of
shows with Beetle, The El Orbits, Disco Expressions, The Small Sounds, The Light Rock Express,
Grand Old Grizzly and others |
Isaias Gil joined the
Thunderado subbing for Billy Walters and has played the majority of the shows for the past few
years. Isaias plays full-time in several bands in the Houston area and won the Guitar Center
Drum-off in 2010. He has also toured with Black Flag, Ozomatli, and Leon III. |
Darion Waddler hails from Virginia and joined the band after recording drums for a different project in Paul's recording studio, Beebe Gunn Studio. He graduated from Berklee College of Music where he studied drums, and can play every style, always with a smile on his face. He has played on numerous gospel and contemporary Christian albums. |
Billy Walters came to
the Thunderado party as a last-minute sub for a Christmas gig. His backbeat was undeniable and
now he lives in the Thunderado uniform of black western shirt and jeans and beards. Like the
other two, he's originally from Houston and has been playing music his whole life. Sometimes
life makes it difficult for Billy to make all the shows. |
