THUNDERADO

Described as “dramatic garage rock with elements of rockabilly, surf, and swing,” Thunderado is a rock and roll trio from Houston, TX. Having worked with Archie Bell, Roy Head, John Fogerty, and Billy Gibbons, these guys know and love the swampy Gulf Coast sound.

Hunter Perrin comes from a musical family and grew up listening to outlaw country while attending conservatory for classical guitar. His style and versatility earned him a place in John Fogerty's band for five years, during which time he got to back rock-n-roll pioneers Little Richard and Jerry Lee Lewis at the 2008 Grammy Awards.

Also from a musical family, Paul Beebe is the consummate working musician: playing bass, drums, and singing in numerous groups all over Texas. His recording studio, Beebe Gunn Studio, services regional musicians and is well-known for getting Tex-centric escapades of all shapes and sizes down on wax.

Billy Walters came to the Thunderado party as a last-minute sub for a Christmas gig. His backbeat was undeniable and now he lives in the Thunderado uniform of black western shirt and jeans and beards. Like the other two, he’s originally from Houston and has been playing music his whole life. Sometimes life makes it difficult for Billy to make all the shows, and so...

Isaias Gil joined the Thunderado subbing for Billy Walters and has been playing the majority of the shows for the past few years. Isaias plays full-time in several bands in the Houston area and won the Guitar Center Drum-off in 2010.
